Our return policy is 15% restocking fee (pending inspection) plus the actual inbound and outbound shipping. The actual shipping charge will be applied to any product regardless of the Free Shipping promotion or the flat rate $99 shipping. The products have to be in the original packaging and in brand new condition. Please contact us at 1-800-996-8221 for authorization prior to returning any items.Returns without prior authorization by us, will not be accepted. Please note that we can only accept returns for the maximum of 14 days after the delivery date.
If we are able to cancel your order before it is processed by our warehouses (normally within 24 hours from the time you ordered), there is not a charge for the cancellation. Otherwise 15% restocking fee will apply. If the order has been shipped out from our warehouse, please see our return policy. The receipt of an order number or an email order confirmation does not constitute the acceptance of an order or a confirmation of an offer to sell. Homelement reserves the right, without prior notification, to limit the order quantity on any item and/or to refuse service to any customer. Verification of information may be required prior to the acceptance of any order. We reserve the right to cancel any orders placed with us. Should we choose to cancel an order, our liability is limited to one dollar.
At any given time, despite our best efforts, a small number of the thousands of items on our site may be mispriced. We do, however, verify prices as part of our shipping procedures. If we discover that an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.
Inspecting Item During Delivery
Please INSPECT the cartons (packaging) of your new furniture upon delivery of your order. If you notice any slight damage to the packaging that you think might not affect the furniture, please MARK it in the receipt or bill of lading with a clear description of the nature of the damage. If the cartons are severely damaged, please refuse the shipment and make a notation on the freight bill that there were visible damages. Your signature on the receipt is your acknowledgment that your merchandise is satisfactory and delivered as ordered. In the event that you order arrives damaged or if you have any concerns regarding any aspects of the delivery, please contact us immediately at 1-800-996-8221 for on-site resolution. Please note that you do need to inspect the boxes when receiving the merchandise. If the box is damaged and it is not noted on the delivery receipt, we will not be responsible to replace or fix the merchandise. Please keep the original box/packaging since it is required for us to process the claim.
It is your responsibility as the consumer to inspect each of the packages BEFORE signing for the delivery. See the section about Inspecting Item During Delivery for further information.
For any issue, we will request some pictures (either digital or printed copy) of the issues, the packaging, as well as the detail description of the issue in order to evaluate the extent of the issue and formulate the solution. Based on the extent of the issue, we reserve the right to replace only certain parts or send furniture repair professional to correct the issue.
All the furniture that we sell is brand new and carries the manufacturer's warranty. Most of the manufacturer warranty however is only limited warranty that does not cover any wear and tear. That being said, please report any defect or issues within 10 days of receiving the furniture.
Unless mentioned otherwise, the furniture sold on our site is certified for residential use only.
Most of the items that we sell are mostly assembled and usually only require minor and easy assembly. All screws and other hardware are included in the boxes along with detailed instructions on how to assemble the piece. Please check with us if you need assembly info on specific items.
Please note that products by South Shore, Prepac, Nexera, Home Styles are RTA (Ready to Assemble furniture) and need some extensive assembly.
All photos on our website have been color matched with the actual product. How these photos display on any individual monitor and output from any printer can vary widely based on the different settings and external conditions. Regard any color printout as merely a color estimate rather than a true color match.
Please check the measurement of the items against your door opening, hallway size, stairway clearance, ceiling height before ordering. If the items need to be returned because of this reason, the return policy will apply. Please see our return policy for details.
